Subhash Chandra tells Mukesh Ambani to stop “wrong propaganda”
Subhash Chandra has stepped up his public stance against Mukesh Ambani, issuing a direct appeal to the Reliance chairman to stop what he describes as “wrong propaganda” surrounding his NCLT personal‑guarantee case. In a video message circulated this week, Chandra addressed Ambani by name and accused Reliance‑linked media of pushing misleading narratives about the scale of his liabilities.
Chandra said, “Mukesh ji, please stop the wrong propaganda against me personally and my group.” He added, “I have nothing left to lose but you have a lot to.” The remarks mark one of Chandra’s strongest public interventions since the dispute intensified, with the Essel Group founder openly challenging the portrayal of his financial exposure.
He also referenced past interactions with Ambani, stating, “Ambani tried to take over Zee… I called him. When I did not receive a call back, I wrote him a letter.” Chandra urged the Reliance chairman to rein in coverage he believes is damaging, saying, “Please do not engage in propaganda… Your father, Dhirubhai, was a sensible and composed person. I learned a lot from your father.”
