Sony Pictures Networks India announces Google Gemini partnership for ‘KBC’

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced a collaboration with Google Gemini for the upcoming season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (‘KBC’), integrating the AI-powered platform into various aspects of the show’s audience experience.

According to SPNI, the collaboration will see Google Gemini featured across Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV as an interactive knowledge companion for viewers. The integration is designed to support audiences throughout their engagement with the show, including guidance on the registration process and assistance with general knowledge preparation.

‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, which has been on air for more than two decades, is widely recognized for promoting knowledge-based participation and learning among viewers. SPNI said the new collaboration aims to further enhance this experience by incorporating AI-driven tools into the show’s ecosystem.

As part of the initiative, users will be able to access information about ‘KBC’ registration steps and eligibility criteria through the Google Gemini app. The company also stated that interactive challenges are expected to be introduced in the future, enabling users to test and improve their general knowledge across a range of subjects.

The collaboration reflects a growing trend of integrating artificial intelligence technologies into entertainment formats to provide audiences with additional information and interactive features beyond traditional viewing experiences.
