Overnights: ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ debuts at No.1 in UK on Thursday

Star Plus will be breathing a sigh of relief today after new fiction ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ got off to a good start in UK ratings, after it replaced sister show ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ last night.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com, ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ attracted a respectable 52,700 viewers at 19:30 – making it the No.1 show across all Asian TV channels on Thursday. It was followed by ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ at 20:00 with 45,000 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ at 18:00 with 35,900 viewers, ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 34,100 viewers, ‘Sanjivani’ at 19:00 with 32,800 viewers, ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:00 with 32,600 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 6,700 viewers, ‘Nazar’ at 22:30 with 5,000 viewers, ‘Namah’ at 18:30 with 3,800 viewers and ‘Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka’ at 22:00 with 3,400 viewers.

In terms of broadcasters share, New Vision TV was the No.1 Asian TV channel on Thursday with 0.15%, followed by Sony TV with 0.11%, Star Plus with 0.10%, Colors and Colors Rishtey with 0.08%, ZEE Cinema with 0.06%, Sony MAX and Sony SAB TV with 0.04%, Hum TV, ZEE TV, PTC Punjabi and Star Bharat with 0.03%.

On New Vision TV, ‘Off The Record’ at 21:00 drew 33,600 viewers, followed by ‘News’ at 22:00 with 30,700 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Mere Sai’ led with 34,800 viewers at 19:00, followed by ‘Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein’ at 20:00 and ‘Patiala Babes’ at 20:30 with 23,800 viewers, ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’ at 21:30 with 21,000 viewers and ‘Crime Patrol’ at 22:30 with 17,900 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Kun Faya Kun’ was top show with 27,900 viewers at 20:00.

On ZEE TV, ‘Guddan’ was watched by 20,600 viewers.
