Netflix to premiere supernatural mystery drama ‘Baramulla’
Netflix is set to premiere ‘Baramulla’, a supernatural mystery drama, this November. Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, the film explores the unsettling disappearance of children in a remote Kashmiri town, where folklore and reality converge. At the centre of the story is DSP Ridwaan Sayyed, portrayed by Manav Kaul, a police officer newly transferred to the region who finds himself drawn into a complex investigation that challenges both his professional resolve and personal history.
Starring Manav Kaul in the lead role, alongside Bhasha Sumbli as Gulnaar, ‘Baramulla’ is a genre-blending film that combines mystery, drama, and the supernatural. It is directed and written by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, known for Article 370, with the story by Aditya Dhar and co-produced by Lokesh Dhar of B62 Studios. The film is produced in collaboration with Jio Studios, marking the second partnership between Netflix and B62 Studios following Dhoom Dhaam.
Speaking about the film, director Aditya Suhas Jambhale said, “Kashmir is not merely a backdrop in this story—it is a living presence that shapes the narrative. With Baramulla, we aimed to explore emotional depth through a lens of tension and the supernatural.”
Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director of Original Films at Netflix India, added, “Baramulla is a distinctive thriller that balances suspense with emotional resonance. It reflects the kind of storytelling we seek—bold, grounded, and culturally specific.”

‘Baramulla’ will premiere on Netflix on 7th November 2025.
