First Reaction: ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ on Netflix

Aryan Khan’s directorial debut ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ has finally landed on Netflix, and the Internet is ablaze with first impressions. The seven-episode satirical series, produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, dives into the chaotic, glamorous, and often absurd world of the Hindi film industry and viewers are already weighing in.

Early reactions on social media have praised the show’s razor-sharp humour, bold cameos, and meta storytelling, with many calling it a “fun, breezy watch” and a “confident debut” for Aryan Khan. Actor-turned-critic Kuldeep Gadhvi hailed it as “one of the finest Netflix series I have seen,” while others lauded Khan’s ability to “troll every nuance of Bollywood” with wit and irony.

Standout performances from Raghav Juyal, Bobby Deol, and Lakshya have also drawn praise, alongside surprise appearances from Bollywood heavyweights including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan.

However, not all feedback has been glowing. Some viewers found the pacing uneven and the plot twists predictable, with a few describing the climax as “a bit of a letdown”. Still, the show’s bold tone and unapologetic satire have sparked lively debate and plenty of binge-watching.

With Aryan Khan stepping confidently behind the camera, ‘The Bads of Bollywood’ is already proving to be one of the most talked-about releases of the year. Whether you love it or loathe it, it’s hard to look away.
