Launch date of Hum Masala UK on Sky confirmed

The much awaited Sky launch of Hum Masala in the UK has been confirmed, BizAsiaLive.com can exclusively reveal.

Hum Masala touted as the UK’s first 24-hour Asian food channel, will be officially begin broadcasting on Monday 14th August on Sky channel 799. The date coincides with the 70th year of Pakistan’s Independence Day. Testing of the channel is expected to commence as soon as next week off the Sky EPG.

It was revealed first on BizAsiaLive.com earlier today that Hum Masala will launch instead of Hum Gold in the UK in August. Hum Gold may launch at another date.

Hum Masala will be a free-to-air channel, joining sister service, Hum TV Europe on the Sky platform.
