FIR filed against Aamir Khan & Kiran Rao in Muzaffarnagar

Problems for Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao are not going to end anytime soon.

An FIR has been lodged against Khan and Rao at Sadar police station in Muzaffarpur district for hurting religious sentiments by making a statement on intolerance.

According to PTI, FIR has been filed under the sections 153, 153A, 153B and 154 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The FIR was registered on the direction of the chief judicial magistrate, Muzaffarpur district, Sushma Trivedi, on a complaint filed by Advocate Sudheer Kumar Ojha.

A complaint petition was filed on 25th November, alleging that the statements of Khan and his wife about ‘intolerance’ were aimed at disturbing cordial atmosphere in the country.

Khan is facing criticism from all corners after he kept his views over the growing intolerance in India. Though he clarified later that he or his wife Kiran never wished to leave India and they are fortunate to have born there.
