Diljit Dosanjh set to create history by performing at Wembley Stadium in September

Diljit Dosanjh has confirmed what is set to become the biggest live concert ever staged by a Punjabi artist: a headline show at London’s Wembley Stadium as part of his AURA World Tour. Announcing the date during his Toronto performance, he told the crowd, “We are doing Wembley Stadium, London. Yeah!” The show is scheduled for 12 September and is expected to draw a potential audience of around 90,000 people, placing it among the largest South Asian music events ever held in the UK.

The announcement marks another milestone in Dosanjh’s rapid ascent as a global performer. In recent years he has broken multiple records, including becoming the first Punjabi artist to perform at Coachella, and selling out arenas across North America, Europe and Australia. A Wembley Stadium concert, long regarded as a benchmark for the world’s biggest touring acts, represents a significant moment not only for Dosanjh but for Punjabi music on the international stage.

Industry observers have noted the scale of the achievement, with many pointing out that no Punjabi singer has previously headlined a venue of this size. The show is expected to feature material from his AURA album alongside his extensive catalogue of Punjabi and crossover hits, with the production designed for a stadium‑level audience.

The Wembley date is already being described as a landmark cultural moment, reflecting the global reach of Punjabi music and the growing influence of South Asian artists in mainstream live entertainment.
