ZEE5 Global to premiere feature-length film ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain’
The feature‑length comedy ‘Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain – Fun on the Run’, released in cinemas earlier this year, is set for its world digital premiere on ZEE5 Global on 3rd April 2026. Directed by Shashank Bali, the film extends the universe of the long‑running sitcom by placing its familiar characters in a full‑scale narrative beyond their usual setting.
The production features the original ensemble cast – Aasif Sheikh, Rohitashv Gour, Shubhangi Atre and Vidisha Srivastava — with Ravi Kishan and Mukesh Tiwari appearing in notable supporting roles. The film revisits the established dynamic between Vibhuti Narayan Mishra and Manmohan Tiwari, portrayed by Sheikh and Gour, as their characteristic rivalry and comedic manoeuvring continue to shape the storyline.
In this adaptation, the characters leave their familiar lanes of Kanpur for a road journey that quickly descends into disorder. Their encounter with gangster brothers Shanti and Kranti leads to a sequence of misunderstandings, disguises and escalating complications, forming the basis of the film’s humour.
The film incorporates elements of romance, slapstick and situational comedy while drawing on the nostalgia associated with the original series, including the use of well‑known catchphrases such as “Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai?” and “Sahi Pakde Hain!”.
