Vivian DSena named TV Personality 2017 in Sabras Radio poll

Television hunk, Vivian DSena has been named TV Personality 2017, in a poll conducted by Sabras Radio and compiled in conjunction with BizAsiaLive.com .

This is the second consecutive year that DSena, who plays Harman Singh in Colors’ show ‘Shakti’ has topped the poll after also coming No.1 last year. Beside ‘Shakti’, DSena has had a relatively quiet year with work on the hit show let do the talking. TV Personality 2017 is the biggest Indian television poll ran on UK Asian radio. The annual poll, now in its third year, consists of Top 30 finalists based on votes. It is helmed by Raj Baddhan, who heads the two popular outlets in the UK.

Another television favourite, Barun Sobti made a splash in this year’s poll at No.2 for his performance in the doomed show ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Season 3’ on Star Plus. Helly Shah was the highest placed female at No.3 for her award-winning performance in ‘Devanshi’. Shah did not budge from her position last year. Drashti Dhami was at No.4 for her memorable role as Naina in ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’ and her best friend, Sanaya Irani rounded off the Top 5 for her participation in this year’s ‘Nach Baliye 8’. The show ‘Ishqbaaaz’ took away four slots inside the Top 30 with Shrenu Parikh (23), Kunal Jaisingh (22), Nakuul Mehta (15) and Surbhi Chanda (7) all making it into the final.

Others that surprised in the poll this year include ‘Zindagi Ki Mehek’ stars Karan Vohra (9) and Samiksha Jaiswal (16), plus Rajat Tokas with his army fans that put him at No.6. ‘Swaragini’ star Varun Kapoor was at No.8 and ‘Naamkarann’ actors Zain Imam and Aditi Rathore were at No.10 and No.11 respectively.

Some of the actors that missed out on this year’s Top 30 chart were Mohsin Khan from ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, Nia Sharma from ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, Ravi Dubey from ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, Namik Paul and Vikram Singh Chauhan from ‘Ek Deewana Tha’, Aham Sharma and Krystle D’Souza from ‘Bhramrakshas’, Rubina Dilaik from ‘Shakti’ and Karan Tacker from ‘Nach Baliye 8’.
