UK TV Ratings: PTC Punjabi rules; Star Plus dips on Saturday
PTC Punjabi emerged as the leading UK Asian TV channel on Saturday, ahead of all rivals, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.
PTC Punjabi delivered a share of 0.64%, while Sony MAX topped the Hindi genre with a share of 0.08%. Star Plus dipped further to a share of 0.07%. Incidentally, the drop is being seen as significant during the same week as the launch of JioHotstar in the UK.
Sony MAX’s top content was Women’s Asia Cup T20 with 20,000 viewers tuning in.
Star Plus’ top show was ‘O Humnava Tum Dena Saath Mera’ with 17,000 viewers.

Geo TV and Hum TV led the Urdu genre with a share of 0.06%. Geo TV’s top show was ‘Kaisa Yeh Ishq’ with 11,000 viewers, while on Hum TV, it was ‘Aap Ki Izzat’ with 29,000 viewers.
