UK Box Office: Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ nears £500k since its release

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’, directed by Priyadarshan, is approaching the half‑million‑pound mark at the UK box office following its release four weeks ago.

Distributed by Bakrania Media, the film collected £35,168 in the week ending 5 May 2026, bringing its cumulative total to £442,591. At its current pace, the film is expected to cross £500,000 within the coming days.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ was the only South Asian title to feature in this week’s Top 15 UK box office chart, despite several smaller regional releases last Friday.

The wider UK box office was dominated by ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’, which opened to more than £9 million. Meanwhile, ‘Michael’ continued its strong run, reaching a total of £23,161,710 after two weeks in cinemas.
