Sunrise Radio planning to launch second national station
Sunrise Radio in London and national
Sunrise Radio will be launching a second national station on DAB.
The longest-running Asian radio broadcaster announced the news today on the station’s ‘Drivetime’ show with Managing Director, Tony Lit MBE popping in the studio to share the news. Incidentally, today marks the eighth year since Sunrise Radio went national on DAB.
It is expected that the London-only service, Sunrise Smooth will go national. Sunrise Smooth is an easy-listening Asian radio service. However, Sunrise Radio is yet to officially announce the news.

Nationally, the BBC Asian Network holds the crown as the overall No.1 Asian radio station, while Sunrise Radio, which has no national commercial rival, leads on that front.
