RAJAR: BBC Asian Network drops but stays No.1 nationally
The BBC Asian Network held on to the No.1 spot but lost 16,000 listeners, in latest RAJAR data for Q1/23.
The BBC Asian Network, which has undergone a number of schedule changes recently, registered a weekly reach of 444,000 down from 460,000 in the previous quarter. Its average listening hours per listener remained static at 6.0.
Its rival, Sunrise Radio added 14,000 listeners nationally. The station was up from 313,000 to 327,000. Its average listening hours per listener was up from 4.3 to 4.5.
