Stephan Bugaj joins JioStar to lead GenAI strategy
JioStar Group today announced the appointment of Stephan Bugaj as Senior Vice-President of GenAI Content & Technology as part of its ongoing efforts to advance AI-native, next‑generation content and technology initiatives.
His role will focus on supporting the Group’s work on intelligent content pipelines, interactive storytelling formats, and scalable creative frameworks aimed at enabling experimentation and enhancing audience engagement.
Previously serving as Chief Creative Officer at Genvid Entertainment, Stephan Bugaj contributed to the development of the Massively Interactive Live Event (MILE) format, which integrates streaming, gaming, and live audience participation. He has also worked on AI-based creative pipelines and tools for filmmakers, and as a creator-showrunner, oversaw interactive storytelling projects that combine real-time engagement with narrative-driven content.

With more than thirty years of experience in creative and technical roles, Stephan Bugaj has held positions at DJ2 Entertainment, Pixar Animation Studios, Telltale Games, and Hanson Robotics. His background includes work in systems architecture for AI-supported content, adaptive narrative design, digital production pipelines, and immersive media technologies.
JioStar Group continues to explore AI-enabled features across its content businesses, including conversational interfaces, second‑screen interaction tools, and AI-assisted workflow components. The addition of Mr. Bugaj is expected to support the Group’s efforts to develop new technology-driven formats and experiences for digital-first audiences.
