Star Plus to revert back to five-day telecast of daily fictions
Star Plus is reportedly set to implement a significant schedule overhaul, moving from its current seven-day broadcasting strategy to a five-day format for most of its fiction shows.
Starting in March, popular fiction series such as ‘Anupamaa’, ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, and ‘Udne Ki Aasha’ will air Monday to Friday. However, reports suggest that some early evening shows may continue to air daily.
This shift marks a return to weekend reality programming, a move linked to the recent JioStar merger. While the specific reality shows filling the weekend slots have not yet been confirmed, the change signals a strategic shift for the broadcaster.
