New entrant in the UK market, STAR One, is adding two new shows to its weekend line-up to keep viewers enticed to the new entertainment channel.

The STAR Plus sibling will be launching its own musical singing contest ‘Antakshari – The Great Challenge’ to rival ZEE TV’s new avatar ‘Antakshari’.

Former ZEE TV producer Gajendra Singh, who has been behind successes like ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ and ‘Antakshari’ will be making his debut on STAR One with ‘Antakshari – The Great Challenge’. It will be hosted by Annu Kapoor and Juhi Parmar.

The programme will air Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at 20:00 from Friday 9th February.

Also on STAR One, the new series of ‘Koffee With Karan’ will air. This series will air exclusively on STAR One and not on flagship channel STAR Plus as was previously. The decision has been taken to give viewers a taster of programmes the new channel has lined up.

The much awaited star studded ‘Koffee With Karan’ show will be slightly different to the series before. Apparently Karan’s wish-list of non-film celebrities on the new series will include a host of high-profile industrialists and sports-persons.

‘Koffee With Karan’ will air Sundays from 11th February at 21:00.
