Shah Rukh Khan remains India’s richest actor with Rs. 10,000 crore wealth
Shah Rukh Khan has retained his position as India’s richest actor, with an estimated wealth of Rs. 10,000 crore, according to the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2026, released on Wednesday.
The latest Hurun assessment places Khan at the top of the actor rankings, although his estimated wealth has fallen by Rs. 2,490 crore from the Rs. 12,490 crore reported in the 2025 edition.
The latest figure is an estimate rather than a publicly audited net worth. Hurun’s assessment takes into account Khan’s interests across his business portfolio, including Red Chillies Entertainment and Knight Riders Sports, alongside income and other assets.
Amitabh Bachchan follows Khan with estimated wealth of Rs. 4,000 crore, while Salman Khan is listed at Rs. 3,000 crore. Hrithik Roshan completes the leading group with an estimated Rs. 2,500 crore.
Bachchan’s estimated wealth has increased significantly from Rs. 1,630 crore in the 2025 list, while Roshan’s has risen from Rs. 2,160 crore. Salman Khan is a new entry among the leading actors in this year’s assessment.

Khan’s latest Hurun figure also differs from the Rs. 10,800 crore estimate attributed to him in the Hurun Global Rich List 2026 earlier this year, highlighting how wealth estimates can vary between different editions and assessment periods.
On the film front, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for the release of ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 24 December 2026 and will feature Khan alongside Suhana Khan and an ensemble cast.
The latest Hurun India Rich List was compiled using wealth data as of 24 August 2026. The wider list includes 1,810 individuals with wealth of at least Rs. 1,000 crore, according to reporting citing the Hurun Research Institute.
