Rakul Preet Singh denies link to Income Tax searches, calls reports ‘false and malicious’
Rakul Preet Singh has denied reports linking her to recent Income Tax Department searches, stating that the action was “not pertaining to me” and accusing sections of the media of publishing unverified claims.
In a statement issued on social media, the actor said she has complied with tax laws throughout her career and rejected allegations of illegal foreign remittances or holding benami properties in India or abroad.
The clarification follows reports of Income Tax searches at multiple locations linked to film industry entities and individuals, including premises reportedly associated with Rakul Preet Singh and producer Vashu Bhagnani. The searches were reported to be part of a probe into suspected financial irregularities and overseas fund transactions.
