Prime Video announces premiere date for ‘Lukkhe’
Prime Video has announced that its upcoming original series ‘Lukkhe’ will premiere worldwide on 8th May. Directed by Himank Gaur and produced by Vipul D. Shah and Rajesh Bahl under Optimystix Entertainment and White Guerrilla LLP, the series is described as a fictional musical action drama set in Punjab. It features Raashii Khanna and King in leading roles, with Palak Tiwari and Lakshvir Singh Saran also part of the principal cast.
‘Lukkhe’ follows a story rooted in Chandigarh’s rap scene, exploring themes of rivalry, ambition and personal conflict. The narrative centres on two rappers, MC Badnaam and OG, whose long‑standing feud draws them into a cycle of revenge and consequence. The series combines elements of action and music, framed around the idea that “Rap aur Badla, Dono Loud Hai.”
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, said, “At Prime Video, we believe in constantly raising the bar by experimenting with storytelling — whether it’s blending genres, exploring new formats, or championing unconventional narratives. ‘Lukkhe’ is a strong reflection of this vision, bringing together high‑octane action with pulsating rap music, while balancing pace with emotional intensity. At its heart, the series is a compelling story of revenge and redemption, driven by complex characters and the choices they make. With KING and Palak Tiwari making their OTT debuts alongside a strong ensemble cast, we are confident ‘Lukkhe’ will be appreciated by audiences in India and across 240 countries and territories when it premieres on 8 May.”

We set out to build a world where high‑energy action, rap music and human emotion come together. Working with Prime Video and an exceptionally talented cast has allowed us to bring this multi‑genre story to life in a way that feels immersive and distinct.
