Panjab Radio announces sale of Panjab TV as part of strategic business realignment

Panjab Radio has confirmed that it has agreed the sale of its entertainment television channel, Panjab TV, to an independent third party, following 18 months of broadcasting operations.

The sale, effective from 1st October 2026, forms part of a strategic decision to consolidate the group’s business interests and focus its resources, expertise and investment on its two core operations: Panjab Radio and Pear Travel.

Having served the British Asian community for over 26 years, Panjab Radio remains committed to delivering its distinctive programming, maintaining its strong relationship with listeners and further strengthening its position within the UK broadcasting industry.

At the same time, Pear Travel will continue to develop and expand its portfolio of premium escorted group tours, religious pilgrimages and travel services, building on the trust and loyalty established within the community.

The decision reflects a considered assessment of the group’s long-term business priorities and its commitment to sustainable growth.

Panjab Radio wishes the new owners of Panjab TV every success in the future and extends its appreciation to everyone who has supported the television channel since its launch.

The sale will not affect the continued operations of Panjab Radio or Pear Travel, both of which remain fully committed to serving their respective audiences and customers.

Panjab TV launched in the UK on Sky in March 2025.
