Pakistani actors & television shows unblocked in India
Following the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, the Indian government launched Operation Sindoor, a strategic response targeting terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).
In the immediate aftermath, India implemented a widespread digital crackdown, blocking access to Pakistani actors and entertainment content across online platforms. However, months later, it now appears that restrictions are gradually being lifted.
Reports indicate that Pakistani actors such as Yumna Zaidi, Ahad Raza Mir, and Danish Taimoor are once again visible on Instagram for Indian users, suggesting a possible softening of the previous digital embargo.
In addition, several prominent Pakistani television channels on YouTube, including Hum TV, Geo TV, ARY Digital, and Green Entertainment, have reportedly had their channels restored for viewers in India.

The development comes in the wake of the recent controversy surrounding ‘Sardaar Ji 3’, which stars Indian superstar Diljit Dosanjh alongside Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Despite being completed before the latest escalation in regional tensions, the film was blocked from release in India.
It remains to be seen whether this shift marks a longer-term change in policy or a selective relaxation based on individual content.
