Overnights: PTC Punjabi smashes share record at No.1 on Monday

PTC Punjabi continued to give rival channels sleepless nights after it delivered record-breaking share numbers in the UK on Monday, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsiaLive.com.

PTC Punjabi thrashed all Asian TV channels with a whopping share of 0.22%. It was followed by Star Plus with 0.17%, Hum TV and Sony Entertainment Television with 0.10%, Geo TV and New Vision TV with 0.05%, ZEE TV, Star Gold and Colors Rishtey with 0.04%, ARY Family, Sony MAX 2 and Dunya News with 0.03%, Colors and Foodxp with 0.02%.

PTC Punjabi’s biggest viewership came in between 15:00 – 21:00 with an average audience of over 30,000 viewers – The slot is filled with Shabad Gurbani from Amritsar and a number of news shows and reality programming.

Star Plus’ welcomed the return of ‘Sanjivani’ for a second season. It launched in the 19:00 slot, with 52,400 viewers – making it the fourth most watched show in UK after ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 86,900 viewers, ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ at 20:00 with 62,200 viewers and ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ at 21:00 with 53,700 viewers (the earlier episode at 18:30 could only manage 4,300 viewers). Other shows in the pecking order were ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ at 20:30 with 33,000 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ at 21:30 with 31,600 viewers, ‘Nazar’ at 23:30 with 18,800 viewers, ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ at 22:00 with 17,100 viewers and ‘Savdhaan India’ at 22:30 with 3,700 viewers.

On Sony TV, ‘Crime Patrol’ was watched by 35,700 viewers at 22:30, followed by ‘Ladies Special’ at 21:45 with 31,900 viewers and ‘Patiala Babes’ at 21:00 with 30,000 viewers. ‘Mere Sai’ also did well with 22,400 viewers and ‘Chandragupta Maurya’ at 20:00 with 20,700 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Sheikh Sahab Chal Basay’ topped ratings with 23,700 viewers, followed by ‘Bahu Rani Saas Sayani’ at 21:00 with 20,300 viewers and ‘Resham Gali Ki Husna’ at 19:00 with 17,000 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Bharosa’ led with 22,800 viewers at 21:00, followed by ‘Ramz-e-Ishq’ at 20:00 with 14,500 viewers.

On ARY Family, ‘Bulbulay 2’ pulled in 17,200 viewers, followed by ‘Papa Raazi’ at 17:30 with 12,400 viewers, ‘Apni Boli Apni Story’ with 8,800 viewers and film ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2’ with 2,100 viewers.

On ZEE TV, ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan’ led with 17,100 viewers, followed by ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ at 21:30 with 16,800 viewers and ‘Punar Vivah’ with 15,200 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ led with 21,200 viewers.
