Netflix announces premiere date for ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’
Netflix has confirmed the return of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, with its fifth season set to launch on 26th September.
Fronted by Kapil Sharma, the new season will see the return of the show’s familiar ensemble cast, including Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Sidhu. The upcoming run promises a mix of celebrity interviews, comedy sketches, spontaneous banter and interactive moments that have become synonymous with the franchise.
Positioned around the theme of ‘Hasi Ka Tyo-haha-har’ (Festival of Laughter), the new season aims to bring together a broad range of celebrity guests, newsmakers and personalities, celebrating India’s diverse culture and entertainment landscape through humour and conversation.
Speaking about the show’s return, Kapil Sharma said, “Every season, we think we have done enough masti (fun), and then we realise that we are not done yet! And somewhere I feel that’s what keeps us going. We are extremely grateful for the love our audience, world over, has given The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix and this time around we will be celebrating the upcoming festivities wholeheartedly… be it Diwali or Christmas. Bas lifafe Archana ji se duur rakhiye, baki hum Hasi ka Tyohaar to le kar aa hi rahe hain! (Just keep the gifts and envelopes away from Archana ji, we are coming soon with the festival of laughter)”
