Neeraj Arora to leave Sony; Jaideep Jankiraman to head UK & US

Neeraj Arora is stepping down as EVP – Head of International Business at Sony Pictures Networks, its been confirmed.

With an illustrious career spanning 20 years at Sony Pictures Networks, Arora has been responsible for crafting and driving the strategy and growth of international business, ensuring that it always stays a profitable venture in a dynamic market scenario.

In a statement, Arora said, “After an incredible and immensely gratifying 2 decades at Sony Pictures Network, I’d like to acknowledge those of you who have played a pivotal role in my journey. It has been a wonderful chapter, filled with cherished memories, achievements, and lifelong friendships.

Thank you to my supportive leadership team, incredible colleagues, and valued clients & partners. Your collaboration and trust has made my time here truly special.

As I prepare to leave Sony, it is extremely nostalgic to reflect upon my 20 years with the company and celebrate my 30 years in the Media industry as a whole. This is not goodbye, but the start of a new chapter. Let’s stay connected!”

Jaideep Jankiraman, who currently is Head – International Business (Americas), will succeed Arora as Head of International Business and Operations. Jankiraman will report to Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer – Distribution & International Business and Business Head – Sports Cluster.

The current UK team, Shalin Patel, Head – International Business (Europe), Sharon Patel, Manager – Revenue Accounting, Naveen Kunal, Senior Manager – Ad Sales, Kavita Paul, Lead – International Operations and Moitrani Dhar, Lead – Research and Programming Strategy will now report to Jankiraman. The teams in the US and Canada will continue reporting to Jankiraman.

Incidentally, NP Singh, MD and CEO of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) announced that he will be stepping down from his role after 25 years with the company.
