Punjabi music legend, Malkit Singh has waded into the debate about the future of the BBC Asian Network, ignited by Apache Indian earlier this month.

In an Instagram post shared by Apache, the Bhangra superstar spoke about his experience with the BBC Asian Network over the years and called on the national station to support more UK artists. He said that the BBC Asian Network should also promote older artists and not just the youngsters breaking into the music scene.

Apache Indian slammed the BBC Asian Network and branded it “a disease” in a post he shared on social media. He said that he had got a petition signed in protest to shut down the BBC Asian Network.
