JioStar brings ‘Splitsvilla’ & ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’ to UK for first time via Hotstar
The newly merged entity JioStar is expanding viewing options for audiences in the UK, with its digital platform Hotstar now streaming the long-running reality shows ‘Splitsvilla’ and ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’ for the first time.
‘Splitsvilla’, currently in its 16th season, is hosted by Sunny Leone and Karan Kundrra. The popular dating reality series follows young singles as they live together in a luxury villa, competing in a series of physical and mental challenges while attempting to find love and their so-called “ideal match”.
Meanwhile, ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’ has returned for its sixth season, hosted by Bollywood star Riteish Deshmukh. The latest season premiered on Sunday evening and featured the entry of Bigg Boss veteran Raqesh Bapat, who has previously appeared in both the Hindi and OTT editions of the franchise. The contestant line-up also includes actor and politician Dipali Sayyad, comedian Sagar Karande, social media personality Sachin Kumavat, former Bigg Boss Hindi contestant Sonali Raut, choreographer Ayush Sanjeev, model Tanvi Kolte and content creator Karan Sonawane, among others.
