Sameer Gogate joins JioStar as Colors’ Business Head
Sameer Gogate has been appointed as the head of Colors at JioStar.
Gogate, who previously served as General Manager at BBC Studios (India), held his role there from July 2019 to January 2025. During his tenure, he spearheaded local adaptations of acclaimed BBC formats such as ‘Criminal Justice’, ‘Broken News (Press)’, and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Dancing With the Stars)’. He also oversaw the development of original productions, including ‘Highway Love’, ‘Ishq in the Air’, ‘School of Lies’, ‘Kaisi Hai Yaariaan’, ‘Tujhpe Main Fida’, and the recent hit, ‘Shekhar Home’.
