Jazz Bhalla’s ‘Never Had A Chance’ to premiere at the UK Asian Film Festival
‘Never Had A Chance’, an award‑winning British Asian indie drama set in West London, will make its festival debut at the UK Asian Film Festival on 5th May 2026 ahead of a wider UK cinema release.
Directed by Jazz Bhalla and produced by Vikrant Chopra, Ben Pengilly and Rajinder Kochar, the film has already travelled the UK and European festival circuit, screening at the London Independent Film Festival, the British and Irish Film Festival Luxembourg and Northampton Film Festival.
Starring Amar Chaggar and rooted in Hounslow’s Punjabi community, the drama follows Ravi, a young man trying to rebuild his life while being pulled back by the people and pressures around him. The film explores identity, loyalty and the struggle to break cycles that feel predetermined.
Bhalla said, “This film comes from a real place. It reflects the environments, pressures and choices that exist for a lot of young people growing up in West London. Screening at the UK Asian Film Festival is a huge moment for us, because it’s a platform that truly understands and champions stories like this.”
