Imran Khan returns with Netflix’s ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’ after 10‑year hiatus
Imran Khan is officially returning to the screen after a decade, with the actor confirming that he has completed shooting Netflix’s ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’. The project, directed by Danish Aslam, marks Khan’s first film since 2014 and is currently in post‑production ahead of a planned release later this year. The announcement has generated significant industry interest, positioning the title as one of Netflix’s key Hindi originals for the upcoming slate.
Speaking about the comeback, Khan said, “I have just finished shooting a new movie. It’s my first movie in 10 years and we’re in post‑production right now. It’s called ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’. It’s for Netflix and is scheduled to come out end of this year. It’s a grown‑up romantic comedy… age‑appropriate to where I am now.” He also praised his co‑star Gurfateh Pirzada, noting, “I’ve just worked with a really great young actor… It’s the one I simply had to make after 10 years.”
Khan described the film as a natural extension of his earlier collaboration with Aslam, adding, “The movie is just like what the team of ‘Break Ke Baad’ would be doing 15 years later in life… This is very much a personal project that came from the creative urge of wanting to tell a story and working with friends.” His comments have been widely circulated, with fans welcoming his return and industry watchers noting the strategic timing of Netflix’s announcement.
