Speculation surrounding comedian Shabaz Ali joining BBC One’s flagship soap ‘EastEnders’ has been firmly denied, despite a teasing social media post that got his followers talking.
Sources at BizAsiaLive.com have confirmed that Ali was present at a press event on the EastEnders set on Wednesday, where he was photographed in Albert Square. The comedian fuelled rumours by sharing an image with the caption: “Secret is out! I’m proud to announce I will be joining EastEnders. Christmas is going to be explosive. But whose life am I going to ruin?”
He further stirred excitement by posting a short video clip on his Instagram Story, offering a glimpse of the iconic Albert Square backdrop.
