ZEE TV launches in Germany as free channel on Samsung TV Plus
For the first time, viewers in Germany can access ZEE TV’s latest dramas, reality shows, and family programming with continuous German subtitles, making the content easier to follow for a wider range of audiences.
The addition of German subtitles enables both South Asian and German‑speaking viewers to engage more easily with ZEE TV’s storytelling. This development introduces a new standard for FAST streaming by combining translation technology with ZEE’s established catalogue.
ZEE TV builds on the existing presence of ZEE One and ZEE5 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, where both services have attracted viewers from South Asian communities as well as broader local audiences. Although there is strong interest in the content, access has sometimes been limited or inconsistent. By providing live streaming directly to viewers, ZEE aims to make programming more readily available, including for second‑ and third‑generation diaspora audiences who may not rely on family members for translation.
