ZEE TV launches ‘Apnotsav’ – A month long festive celebration

As India enters its most festive season, ZEE TV has announced ‘Apnotsav’, a month-long celebration designed to bring audiences together through stories, laughter, and shared traditions. Coinciding with major festivals including Karwa Chauth, Dhanteras, Diwali, and Bhai Dooj, the initiative reflects the channel’s refreshed brand identity — “Aapka Apna ZEE TV” — and extends its message of connection and belonging across on-air, digital, and on-ground platforms.
For over three decades, ZEE TV has been known for its festive programming, creating events that bring families together. With Apnotsav, the channel aims to make the season more interactive and community-driven, combining entertainment with participation through new content, contests, and outreach initiatives.
The campaign features a mix of special programming, including grand episodes of popular fiction shows, new launches such as ‘Jagadhatri’ — the story of a young woman leading a double life as an undercover agent — and ‘Ideabaaz’, a non-fiction series celebrating innovation and entrepreneurship in modern India. The line-up also includes ZEE Rishton Ka Mela Diwali Special, blockbuster movie premieres, and Maha episodes featuring leading television stars.
To make the celebration more interactive, ZEE TV has introduced an on-air contest where viewers can participate in real-time by answering on-screen questions during their favourite prime-time shows. Daily prizes include SUVs, two-wheelers, gold coins, home appliances, and opportunities to meet popular ZEE TV actors.
Extending the campaign beyond television, ZEE TV will take ‘Apnotsav’ to 70 cities across India through a nationwide outreach initiative. Teams from the network will engage directly with audiences, encouraging participation and offering rewards as part of the festival of togetherness.
Comedian and actor Sunil Grover will serve as the face of the campaign. In the promotional narrative, he revisits his roots as “Sonu” from his Haryana village, capturing the warmth, nostalgia, and sense of belonging that define India’s festive spirit.

I often miss being Sonu, the boy from my village in Haryana, surrounded by family, love, and that real sense of apnapan. With ‘Apnotsav’, I wanted to reconnect with those roots and remind everyone that true celebration isn’t only about grand lights or gifts, it’s also about being together with your loved ones. I’m grateful to be part of this campaign because it brings back that warmth and reminds us that the heart of every festival lies in being with family.”
