When & where to watch ‘Dhurandhar’ on TV

The historic blockbuster ‘Dhurandhar’, directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios, is set to make its long‑awaited television debut in May. Released in December 2025, the film became one of the year’s most significant commercial triumphs, praised for its scale, ensemble cast and commanding box‑office performance.

Featuring Akshaye Khanna, Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R. Madhavan among many others, ‘Dhurandhar’ was noted for its expansive action sequences and dramatic narrative. Following its highly successful theatrical run, the film arrived on Netflix, where it continued to draw strong viewership.

In a major programming move, JioStar has secured the rights for the film’s first television broadcast. ‘Dhurandhar’ will simulcast on Star Gold, Star Gold 2 and Colors Cineplex on Saturday 30th May at 19:00, marking a rare multi‑channel premiere for a major Hindi release. A UK telecast is yet to be confirmed.

The film’s success has already paved the way for its sequel, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, which released in cinemas this month. The new instalment expands the universe established in the original, introducing fresh characters while deepening the central conflict that defined the first film. Early audience response suggests strong interest, with the sequel positioned as another large‑scale action spectacle.

JioStar has also acquired ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ for both digital and linear broadcast, ensuring the film will stream on JioHotstar and later premiere on Star Gold. With both titles now under the JioStar umbrella, the franchise is set to enjoy extensive reach across television and digital platforms.
