The UK’s first all-Punjabi film channel, Pitaara is set for launch soon.
BizAsiaLive.com can reveal that the broadcaster has obtained an Ofcom licence, paving its way for a UK launch.
Pitaara is the world’s first Punjabi film channel. It showcases four movies per day, with other day parts filled with Punjabi music.
Pitaara has signed a number of blockbuster film deals, which will give it an advantage over its rivals.
Pitaara will be launched in the UK by World Media Connect, the same company behind successful channels PTC Punjabi, Foodxp and Republic Bharat.
