UK TV Reach: Star Plus double the audience to rivals

While numbers remained lower than usual for Star Plus, it still reported double the audience than its big rivals, Colors, Sony Entertainment Television and ZEE TV, according to weekly reach figures for week ending Sunday 27th August 2017.

Star Plus registered a reach of 625,000 viewers – up from last week’s 517,000 viewers, followed by Sony SAB TV and Hum TV with 323,000 viewers, Colors with 299,000 viewers, Rishtey with 281,000 viewers, Geo TV with 272,000 viewers, &TV with 265,000 viewers, PTC Punjabi with 246,000 viewers, Sony TV with 226,000 viewers, Zing with 225,000 viewers, ZEE TV with 205,000 viewers, Geo Kahani with 192,000 viewers, Life OK with 148,000 viewers, Venus TV with 128,000 viewers, ZEE Punjabi with 121,000 viewers, Urdu1 Europe with 100,000 viewers, ATN Bangla with 79,000 viewers, Star Utsav with 62,000 viewers, Akaal Channel with 63,000 viewers, A Plus Europe with 34,000 viewers.

Movie genre
In the movie genre, Sony MAX remained miles ahead of its rivals with an impressive reach of 412,000 viewers (last week 383,000 viewers), followed by Star Gold with 396,000 viewers, Rishtey Cineplex with 301,000 viewers, ZEE Cinema with 255,000 viewers and B4U Movies with 153,000 viewers.

News genre
Geo News ruled the Asian news genre with 234,000 viewers, followed by Aaj Tak with 216,000 viewers, NDTV 24×7 with 153,000 viewers, New Vision TV with 132,000 viewers, Dunya News with 130,000 viewers, Samaa TV with 104,000 viewers, UK 44 with 73,000 viewers, News18 with 42,000 viewers and Times Now with 9,000 viewers.

Music genre
B4U Music remained the most watched Asian music channel with 104,000 viewers, followed by Brit Asia TV with 84,000 viewers, Sony Mix with 68,000 viewers and MTV Beats with 65,000 viewers.
