SRK to take a break after ‘Happy New Year’

Shah Rukh Khan will be taking a well deserved break after the completion of ‘Happy New Year’ despite offers from various directors to work with him.

According to Mid-Day, the likes of Rahul Dholakia, Anurag Kashyap, R Balki, Ashutosh Gowarikar and others are all wanting to sign the actor/producer but he will taking sometime out from his hectic schedule.

“Not yet (doing Maneesh Sharma’s film), when I do the film I will let you all know. I haven’t started anything new. I am going to work on ‘Happy New Year’ for the next two months. There are two-four film offers… Whenever the film gets designed, I will decide accordingly,” Shah Rukh said.

“I will take holiday after I finish ‘Happy New Year’, as last time I did not take it (holiday) after completing ‘Chennai Express’, I jumped on my next film. I will take a month’s off and then start a new film. There is Maneesh Sharma’s film on top, Rahul Dholakia’s movie and few other offers on which I will take a call,” he added.

King Khan also spoke to Mid-Day about the recent success of ‘Chennai Express’ on ZEE TV and the amount it paid, “There was a lot of responsibility. They took the film at a high price, and not at what the rumours say. It was an expensive film. We don’t understand how it performs on TV but the team of the channel said they were happy and may be because of the film they are number one now,” Shah Rukh said.
