Sanjay Dutt biopic to commence in 2016

With recent news that the project had been shelved, many will now be breathing a sigh of relief that the Sanjay Dutt biopic, helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, should commence next year.

According to Indian Express, the director stated, “I�۪m working on the script of Sanju�۪s biopic. And we�۪ll be starting the film next year”.

He also spoke about the cast, in light of the very many rumours that have been heard, “I haven�۪t even thought about casting till now. We are writing the script and only once it finishes, we�۪ll be able to see how the characters come across and who would be apt to play the characters”. He also confirmed that he had only spoken to Ranbir Kapoor about the film.

Kapoor is said to have given the nod to play Dutt in the film.
