Salman Khan becomes highest paid actor

Salman Khan has beaten Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan to become the highest paid actor. Khan has reportedly paid the highest tax in the year ending 17th March 2017.

India Today also revealed that, along with Khan, Kapil Sharma has also surprised the Income Tax department as his income has increased by a staggering 206% in one year. It has to be mentioned, however, that the department refused to release number of tax amounts paid by Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan due to their links to the Panama Papers leaks.

Previously, Kumar has taken on the title of paying the highest tax a number of times.
