Sachet–Parampara Tandon slam Amaal Mallik for falsely claiming ‘Bekhayali’ origins
Music duo Sachet–Parampara have publicly accused composer Amaal Mallik of misrepresenting the origins of their hit track ‘Bekhayali’ from ‘Kabir Singh’. Taking to social media, the pair released a video in which they strongly criticised Mallik, captioning it with the words “Shame on you”.
The duo alleged that Mallik has repeatedly claimed credit for the song, which they insist was their original creation developed in collaboration with the film’s team. To support their position, Sachet–Parampara shared chat logs and recordings, demanding a public apology and warning of possible legal action if the matter is not resolved.
The music duo took to Instagram and captionined it with “@amaal_mallik SHAME ON YOU AMAAL MALLIK”. In the post, they accused him of making false claims about the origins of their hit track ‘Bekhayali’ from ‘Kabir Singh’. They explained that while the matter could have been addressed in a short clip, they felt compelled to share proof and speak at length “for our mental peace”.

They explained that while they had previously chosen to remain silent, the ongoing remarks had damaged their reputation and left them with no choice but to speak out. ‘Bekhayali’ was one of the most defining tracks of ‘Kabir Singh’, earning widespread acclaim and becoming a cultural phenomenon upon release.
