Punjabi actor-singer Rajvir Jawanda on life support after road accident
Popular Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda is currently on advanced life support following a serious motorcycle accident near Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. The incident occurred on Saturday, 27th September, while Jawanda was en route to Shimla. He reportedly lost control of his bike and sustained severe head and spinal injuries, along with a cardiac arrest prior to being transferred to Fortis Hospital, Mohali.
The 35-year-old artist, known for hits like ‘Kali Jawande Di’, ‘Mera Dil’, and ‘Sardaari’, remains in critical condition under close medical supervision. A statement from Fortis Hospital confirmed that he was admitted at 1:45 pm and immediately assessed by emergency and neurosurgery teams before being placed on ventilator support.
The news has prompted an outpouring of support from fans, fellow artists, and political leaders. Diljit Dosanjh, Guru Randhawa, Gippy Grewal, and Ammy Virk have all taken to social media to express their concern and prayers. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also extended his wishes for Jawanda’s recovery, stating, “I pray to the Almighty for his speedy recovery. May he soon return to his fans and family.”
