Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ ‘Citadel’ to end after second season
Priyanka Chopra Jonas has hinted that her Prime Video series ‘Citadel’ will end after its second season. Speaking in an interview with Variety, the actor said the next instalment is definitely happening but admitted she has little clarity on what lies beyond that.
Chopra Jonas explained that long‑term decisions about the franchise are not within her control. “We have Season 2 for sure, but the rest? I have no idea. I don’t ask. I go to work, do my job and I leave,” she said, emphasising that her focus remains firmly on her performance rather than the wider strategic direction of the series.
When it launched, ‘Citadel’ was touted as one of the most expensive streaming productions ever made, with its first season reportedly costing around $300 million for just six episodes. Despite the scale of the project, the series opened to a mixed critical response.

Meanwhile, the franchise’s international spin‑offs have also faced setbacks. The Italian series ‘Citadel: Diana’ and the Indian chapter ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ were both discontinued after their first seasons, signalling a broader winding down of the ambitious global universe originally planned for the brand.
