Preity Zinta on her debut production ‘Ishkq In Paris’

Preity Zinta is all set to return later this year

Since her cameo in 2009’s ‘Main Aurr Mrs Khanna’, model-turned-actress Preity Zinta has stayed away from the limelight somewhat. One would have thought she would have made an appearance during the Indian Premier League to cheer on her team, Kings XI Punjab, but this didn’t happen either. Zinta, it seems, iscurrently concentrating on show business and on her next project, ‘Ishkq In Paris’.

Zinta has recently completed a 65-day shoot for the film with which she will be making her comeback to the big screen alongside Salman Khan and French actress Isabelle Adjani. Talking to the Hindustan Times, Zinta stated, “It۪s an interior shoot and a big set. We۪re filming an item number with Salman Khan, and Isabella Adjani is flying in from France. Even though I was really nervous before the first shot, I realised that acting is like cycling; you don۪t forget anything even though it۪s been three years.”

It is thought that Zinta, three years ago, wasn’t being approached with any projects that excited her. It was then that she decided to focuson her other passion on cricket. When director Prem Raj got in contact with her about a venture he was planning, she decided not only to co-write it but ended up acting in and producing it and that is how ‘Ishkq In Paris’ was born. The actress promises of more activities, “This year, lots of new things that I was prepping up for in 2011 are happening. You can expect two more big surprises.۝

‘Ishkq In Paris’ is slated for release on 21st September, sandwiched very neatly in between the releases of Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’ and Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Aiyya’.
