'SaraswatiChandra' gets biggest ever ratings in UK

The much awaited wedding in ‘SaraswatiChandra’ between Saras and Kumud last night translated in celebrations amongst UK audiences as record-high viewership was recorded.

The fiction got the biggest ever ratings for a fiction in the last six months on any UK Asian TV channel. At 19:30 last night, 297,600 viewers tuned into Star Plus to see the wedding. The show peaked further to 343,200 viewers. The audience is set to grow further in the coming days as twists and turns continue ahead of the actual wedding ceremony.

The revamped ‘Saathiya’ series at 19:00 with its six-year leap is also paying off with 235,700 viewers tuning in, followed by ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 with 208,500 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Bani – Ishq Da Kalma’ ruled with 65,600 viewers, followed by ‘Na Ana Iss Desh Laado’ with 55,300 viewers and ‘Laagi Tujhse Lagan’ with 55,200 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, ‘Ek Boond Ishq’ continued to stay high with an impressive 57,000 viewers, followed by ‘Tumhari Paakhi’ with 53,000 viewers, ‘Savdhaan India’ with 51,200 viewers and ‘Geet’ at 14:30 with 43,600 viewers.

On Colors, ‘Rangrasiya’ remained top with 52,400 viewers, followed by ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ with 36,000 viewers and ‘BeIntehaa’ next with 34,900 viewers.
