Overnights: ‘Bigg Boss 9’ finale tops Saturday ratings

The biggest reality TV show on Indian television, ‘Bigg Boss 9’ ended on top in UK ratings on Saturday night but its audience was much lower compared to last year.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, ‘Bigg Boss 9 Finale’, which saw Prince Narula win the show, attracted an average 122,800 viewers at 21:00 – peaking at 191,500 viewers. Last year, the show ended with 150,900 viewers. Overall, this year’s ‘Bigg Boss 9’ ratings have been much lower compared to ‘Bigg Boss 8’. The channel is hoping the new format of the show where it has invited members of the general public to the show, will prove a bigger success than ‘Bigg Boss 9’.

Colors’s ‘Naagin’ also did well with 60,300 viewers at 19:00, followed by ‘Ishq Ka Rang Safed’ at 20:30 with 26,600 viewers.

On Star Plus, ‘Saathiya’ was the biggest watch with 154,900 viewers, followed by ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ at 19:30 with 137,700 viewers and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ at 21:00 with 121,600 viewers. ‘Silsila Pyaar Ka’ at 20:30 got its biggest viewership with 120,900 viewers.

On Hum TV, ‘Gul-e-Rana’ at 20:00 topped ratings with 74,800 viewers, followed by ‘Mohabbat Subh Ka Sitara Hai’ at 21:00 with 54,200 viewers and ‘Tonite With HSY’ (re-run) with 17,500 viewers at 22:00.

On &TV, classic movie ‘Sholay’ registered 18,600 viewers at 16:00, followed by ‘Darr Sabko Lagta Hai’ at 22:00 with 13,100 viewers and ‘Agent Raghav’ at 21:00 with 12,600 viewers. Movie ‘Don 2’ at 12:00 pulled in 10,600 viewers.

On PTC Punjabi, ‘Mr Punjab Finale’ at 20:00 raked in 5,400 viewers.

On Rishtey, ‘Uttaran’ at 18:30 attracted 52,000 viewers, followed by ‘Thapki’ at 20:00 with 21,400 viewers and ‘Laado’ at 19:00 with 12,100 viewers.

On UMP Movies, ‘Shaandaar’ at 21:00 got 37,100 viewers – peaking at 59,900 viewers. The movie has proved bigger than when it premiered on Colors a few weeks ago.

On SAB TV, ‘Filmfare Awards 2015’ attracted 28,700 viewers at 20:00, followed by movie ‘3 Idiots’ at 13:00 with 8,100 viewers and ‘Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayyi’ at 16:45 with 7,600 viewers.

On Geo TV, ‘Maikay Ko Dey Do Sandesh’ at 19:30 topped ratings with 23,800 viewers, followed by ‘Asia’s Singing Superstar’ at 21:00 with 23,500 viewers and repeat of ‘Ali Ki Ammi’ at 22:30 with 9,900 viewers. ‘Tera Mera Rishta’ at 20:00 registered 9,800 viewers.
