Neha Harsora on ‘Udne Ki Aasha’ seven-year leap: “The kids on set remind me of my childhood”
Star Plus’ ‘Udne Ki Aasha’ is gearing up for one of its most dramatic shifts yet, with a seven‑year leap that reshapes every relationship at the heart of the story.
The new chapter begins with a devastating twist: a medical emergency during Sailee and Roshni’s pregnancies triggers a shocking baby swap at birth. Sailee and Sachin are left believing their newborn has died, completely unaware that their son is alive and being raised by Roshni and Tejas. Forced to rebuild their lives without the truth, the couple moves to Ganpatipule, where they begin again with their daughter, Poorna.
Seven years later, the narrative pivots to the children, whose presence brings innocence, chaos and a fresh emotional pulse to the show. But as they take centre stage, long‑buried secrets and hidden motives begin to stir, threatening to unravel the fragile peace Sachin and Sailee have created. The leap promises an intense blend of heartbreak, family conflict, unexpected turns and the slow, inevitable collision between past and present. The new track goes on air from 15 July.

Reflecting on the upcoming storyline, Neha Harsora shared, “When I first heard about this leap, it genuinely made me emotional because it reminded me how unpredictable life can be. We all imagine how life should unfold, but sometimes it has completely different plans for us. That’s exactly what I felt while reading about Sailee’s journey after seven years. On one level, I was excited because every actor looks forward to playing a completely new phase of their character. But at the same time, I couldn’t stop thinking about everything Sailee has lived through and how much strength it takes to keep moving forward despite it all. While shooting these scenes, there were moments that stayed with me even after the camera stopped rolling because every emotion felt so honest. The kids on the set remind me of my childhood, the masti, the fun, and everything in between. It’s emotional, it’s unpredictable, and it shows a completely different side of Sailee that audiences haven’t seen before. I’m really excited for everyone to experience this new journey.”
