Lyca Radio has confirmed a partnership with Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara, Gravesend, to broadcast live Shabad Gurbani throughout the Vaisakhi period. The coverage will run from Wednesday 8th April to Sunday 19th April, marking the first time the station has expanded its Sikh devotional programming to this extent. Daily broadcasts will begin at 04:00, with the output also carried on Lyca Gold and Lyca Radio – Midlands.
Indi Singh Sall, Mukh Sevadar (President) of Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara, welcomed the collaboration. He said, “We are pleased to share this news. This year, Lyca Radio Network will be partnering with Gravesend Gurdwara to mark Vaisakhi 2026. From 8 April, we will be broadcasting live from the Gurdwara, offering spiritual programmes, prayers and reflections in the lead‑up to the celebration. It is an important time for the community, and we are glad to make these moments accessible to listeners.”
Raj Baddhan, CEO of Lyca Radio Network, described the initiative as a significant step in the station’s service to its audience. He said, “For some time, I have wanted to do something meaningful for our Sikh community. As a South Asian radio network, we aim to serve all communities, and this live programming with Gravesend Gurdwara strengthens that commitment. Each weekday will feature a two‑hour live segment, with extended coverage at weekends, allowing us to fully reflect the spirit of Vaisakhi.”
