‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’ returns on ZEE5; R Madhavan to host new season
ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) is bringing back its iconic celebrity chat show ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’, nearly 20 years after the programme went off air.
The broadcaster unveiled the first teaser of the revived series on Tuesday, confirming that actor R Madhavan will host the new season. The show is slated to stream exclusively on ZEE5 from August.
First launched in 2002, ‘Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai’ emerged as one of Indian television’s most popular celebrity interview shows. The format gained recognition for its emotional and deeply personal conversations, featuring guests who reflected on their life stories, professional achievements and relationships with family and friends.
The programme’s most acclaimed run was hosted by late actor Farooq Shaikh, whose empathetic and conversational interviewing style earned widespread appreciation from viewers. Following Shaikh’s tenure, actor Suresh Oberoi took over hosting responsibilities before the show concluded in 2007.
