IndiaCast to launch Rishtey Cineplex on Sky in UK

Viacom18’s international arm, IndiaCast is set to launch movies and entertainment channel, Rishtey Cineplex in the UK soon.

BizAsiaLive.com understands from teasers being aired across sister channels Colors and Rishtey, the launch is quite imminent. The news does not come as a huge surprise as the broadcaster has stocked up on some big movie titles, which it will air round-the-clock.

Incidentally, Rishtey Cineplex has only just launched in India. It went on-air earlier this month with the premiere of ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

Rishtey Cineplex will be the fourth channel from IndiaCast after Colors, Rishtey and News18. The launch of the channel will give existing UK rivals Star Gold, Sony MAX, ZEE Cinema and B4U Movies some serious competition. No doubt, Rishtey Cineplex will be premiering some of its biggest movies to lure viewers to its channel – including:

A spokesperson from IndiaCast confirmed the news to BizAsiaLive.com but refused to divulge further information.
