Aneet Padda takes on a dramatically different role
Following her breakthrough with ‘Saiyaara’, Aneet Padda returns with a considerably more challenging character.
As Meenu, she plays a teenager whose decision to speak out against Baapji changes her life and puts her at the centre of a highly charged legal battle.
What makes the role particularly interesting is that Meenu is not simply defined by the allegation. The series follows her as she deals with fear, pressure and the consequences of standing by her accusation.
Fatima Sana Shaikh leads the investigation
Fatima Sana Shaikh plays ACP Jasleen Soni, the police officer assigned to investigate Meenu’s case.
Jasleen finds herself handling a case involving a man whose influence extends well beyond his immediate followers. The investigation consequently becomes a battle against pressure, expectations and a system in which Baapji commands considerable loyalty.

The show’s creators, Karan D Kapadia and Nitya Mehra, have discussed their decision to cast Yadav against type, with the actor’s transformation into the character emerging as one of the talking points around the series.
It brings together a strong ensemble and multiple perspectives
